Afraid to smile?

Get your confidence back with BioClear!

Have you dreamed of fixing your smile, but feel frozen with uncertainty?

Porcelain veneers are a great solution, but they are a huge commitment. Composite bonding is less invasive (and less expensive), but maybe you’ve heard the results may not look as nice, and will be more prone to chipping.

Have you ever wished there was a less permanent but more durable step between veneers and bonding? Bioclear may be the answer!

Bioclear Can Correct:

  • Black Triangles
  • Gaps or spacing problems
  • Food traps
  • Crooked teeth
  • Uneven edges
  • Small front teeth (peg laterals)
  • Tooth erosion
  • Chipped teeth
  • Worn teeth
  • Dark teeth

Your problems solved, with Bioclear.

Advantages of the Bioclear Method:

  • Alternative to porcelain veneers
  • Costs less than porcelain veneers
  • Treatment completed in one visit
  • Minimally invasive – no tooth structure removed (most cases)
  • Lasts longer that conventional bonding
  • Stronger than conventional bonding
  • Looks like your natural tooth
  • Safe for your gums

Between Veneers and Bonding: A Third Option

There are usually only two options when you have teeth you want to enhance cosmetically. Veneers are the most comprehensive and long-lasting solution, but they remove a layer of your tooth enamel, making it an irreversible procedure. They are also the more expensive option.

Bonding is less expensive than veneers, but it doesn’t last as long, and is not as strong or durable as veneers. It may be harder to match composite to your natural tooth color, and an aesthetic result is dependent on the skill of the cosmetic dentist.

These options leave a lot of patients unsure of how they want to proceed. If you can’t afford veneers, do you want to risk an uncertain and less durable outcome with composite bonding? Maybe you want to go forward with veneers, but are hesitant to alter your teeth in a way that can’t be undone.

Now there is a third option that fits somewhere between bonding and veneers. San Diego cosmetic dentist Dr. David Eshom provides Bioclear veneers for patients who have cosmetic flaws they wish to correct.

What is the Bioclear Method?

Bioclear is an alternative to veneers that offers advantages to traditional bonding. With Bioclear, dental composite is wrapped around a tooth using special plastic matrices. This allows it to fully surround the tooth, rather than leaving a ridge or overhang, which tends to collect food and plaque. With this system, a funnel of the Bioclear matrix is heated and then molded around the tooth. It is then cured, and can be shaped and polished until it looks natural.

Bioclear is a more conservative treatment than veneers, and envelops each tooth a full 360 degrees. It eliminates many of the potential issues with composite bonding, such as staining, chipping, or ridges. It also looks more natural than composite bonding, due to its polymer matrix.

Bioclear is an ideal solution for black triangles and gaps, as well irregularly shaped or undersized teeth, such as peg laterals. If you have chips in your teeth, or rough edges due to acid erosion, Bioclear can correct these unsightly flaws without the need for porcelain veneers.

Gentler on Your Teeth and Gums

As a minimally invasive treatment, Bioclear does not affect your natural tooth enamel. In most cases, we will not need to resurface the tooth before applying Bioclear treatment. This makes them less of a permanent commitment than you get with veneers.

Another plus is the fact that Bioclear is thinner and gentler on the gum tissue than composite bonding. The heated Bioclear matrix fits snugly around each tooth and edges up under the gum line without abrading the tissue.
