Dr. Ferrara is a native San Diegan who grew up in the beach area of La Jolla. He has a varied background, which started not in dentistry, but at the San Diego Zoo. During his twenty years with the Zoo, he worked as a Bus Driver Guide, Productivity Analyst, Communications Manager, and Transportation Supervisor. Dr. Ferrara then decided to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a dentist. He attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco and graduated in 1995. Dr. Ferrara loves getting to know his patients and tries to listen and understand their needs, concerns, and comfort levels in the dental environment. When he sees a smile and hears a patient say how much they enjoyed their dental visit, he has done his job.
Dr. Ferrara loves animals and has two great dogs. He volunteers every moth at a feral cat clinic, where he helps spay and neuter feral cats. In his free time, Dr. Ferrera likes to ride his bike, walk, and hike; he also has a small business doing video production.
